There are several answers to your question already on this forum, which are all perfectly valid. A ‘forecast’ is a description of what is likely to happen/will possibly happen and a report is an account of what has already happened.

Weather forecast - the discussion about the weather that will take place in future - refers to FUTURE.
Weather report - the discussion of the weater that has already taken place - refers to PAST.

However, a forecast is always a scientific prediction about future weather conditions.

I just finished a test about the weather.A weather forecast:I know what it means. A weather forecast is given a week or 10 days before, which it means they tell us what to expect in the future, next week. But what about “A weather report”,could be the person who report the weather. Can anyone, who knows better then me the difference between them,explain to me please.

Any kind of forecast is an attempt to predict the future. So a weather forecast tries to predict the weather. It doesn’t have to be next week’s weather, but in the morning it could also be the afternoon’s weather.

A weather report is simply an explanation of the weather. It tells what the weather is like now, but a weather report almost always contains a weather forecast also.

Weather forecast: Prection the weather for tomorrow or/and for next days.
Weather report: The weather`s state the present moment and the espected weather for the future.

i think weather forecast is a part of weather report.

in my point of view, weather forecast is nothing but prediction of weather
like temperature,moisture, rain, pressure etc. Whereas weather report
is present, past and future condition of the weather.
Mostly all are given same opinion so there is nothing to give about the same.

As far as I know they are more or less the same. I know that TV news uses both terms.

Forcast is a prediction of something that has not happened. Being a predication, the information in a forcast can only be about something in the future.
Report is information about an event. Being only Information, a report can be for the past, present or future.
