Cast Pearls Before Swine !

Hello Kyaw,
I really enjoy reading your articles you posted on the forum, I’ve learned a lot from you. please keep going, you’re doing great work, I really appreciate.
Our Thai proverb saying “Give the precious gem to chickens” which has the same meaning of “cast pearls before swine” as the chickens would be happier to get a gain of rice or vegetables.
Cheers …Unchan

Dear Ms. Unchan,

Thank you very much. This site is the best site I’ve ever used.

Since your are a Thai Lady , I’m really pleased to know you. Knowing, Thai people are one of the most courteous and wise people in the world.

I believe you’ve learnt good English and had a lot of good friends. This site has very competent language coaches and writers. And their management is very good.

But not me. I’m just a rough and careless writer. Good luck!

My kindest regards to you my lady.

Ms. Unchan,

Your Thai version of Cast pearls before swine as “Give the precious gem to chickens” has a lot of meaning in it. I can feel it. Thank you very much.

Oh , your spoken English is pretty good as well, wonderful. I’m proud of it.

Dear Alicja,

You wrote:

I know that Poland has always a great effect on the Hungarian history.

I have to say that we (our family + lot of other people) didn’t elect this government /or we didn’t choose them. The half of the country didn’t participate in the election. ( What a shame!) After the 2/3 of the 50% population chose them and not the 2/3 of the population of Hungary. But they dare to change every laws because they say the 2/3 majority authorised them.

Their 2/3 majority is a pack of lies.

Bye:

I think the Greek popularized the word Democracy. People demand democracy and all politial parties and governments happily promised it. But on the final days of the polls or soon after the elected governments attain the power, Democracy invented by the Greek lose it place. It seems nobody really knows what demoracy is, rather than power and money come out of its flamboyant name.

kind regards.

Hi Kyaw,
I’m very pleased to know you too, and Thank you for your compliment. Burmese people are gracious, heard working, intelligent and very helpful. I’ll be happy to have a friend like you. Surely, I’ll learn more experiences from you and you’ll get plenty of merit in return. Burmese and Thai have very similar culture, costume and religion,
maybe we can be congenial friends. I feel my English isn’t good enough, still making a lot of mistakes so still need help.

Have a nice weekend,
Unchan

In socialist time 1962-88 we Burmese thought democracy is some food and luxury items that only the socialist party members and their side kicks have the privileges to enjoy. Like fine sugar, condensed milk, Dumex milk powder, Australian butter and locally assembled Mazada cars ( Japanese Original ). And we still perceive the democracy in a closest way to it , but with much higher knowledge and exprience- now we see democracy together with Lexus, HD TV, Wi Fi laptops , Nokia cell phones and etc… And of course Green Backs from INGOS. lol.

So I have to chant it enthusiastically. Long live Burma? Long live Democracy. Give us more sugar! Oops Sorry, more laptops.

( You see how easy to be a government of Burma , You only need to set up some IT companies of you family own for the intellectuals and rich man’s daughters, some GM food from China for the mamas and issue some import licences to the newly rich papas who still don’t know how to wear a tie. And the government can still proudly says , "now you see we keep our promises we’re giving you up to date democracy. ) lol…

kind regards.

Dear Ms. Unchan,

Thank you very much. I appreciate your kindness. I’ll catch you up. For I’m doing a translation at the moment.

Oh, you know Thais are originally a lot better than Burmese in many ways. We’ve adopted so much of your culture , as you know.

kind regards.
