In modern society, many schools only have math, language, science and history courses in response to the pressure of entering higher school. However, many educationists think younger school children should be required to study art and music in addition to those courses. Personally, I strongly agree with them. For having art and music courses have a precious lot of good.
Firstly, art and music develop children’s intellect. According to a research, exposing children to art and music when they were young can give them a strong right brain. It will benefit children a lot. By appreciating music or arts, children’s memories can be improved. At the same time, they become more creative. Furthermore, it can give them the reasoning capacities in space and time. All these are the indispensible to a successful life.
In addition, art and music can teach younger school children how to control their emotions. By studying art and music, children can gain abundant experiences of emotion. Only a rich affection person can adjust their various degrees of grief and joy according to different occasions. In other words, they have sense of propriety. When they grow up, they will have a good cooperative relationship with others. We can say without the exaggeration, it is a key to a beautiful life.
Finally, speaking from a certain extent, making children study art and music systematically and scientifically may help dig for the potential of those who have talent. Some children have great genius lie in art and music. If schools can provide proper guidance to them, their potentials can be explored. It is a chief part of education purposes. What’s more, it will bring children a lifelong career to pursue.
In general, let younger school children take art and music courses is a must. In some sense, when we making them appreciate arts and music, we are creating glorious future for them.
