You can give me all your news VS You can tell me all the news about you

Hi,

Right, you wash and change while I pop out to the shops. Then we’ll have lunch and you can give me all your news. Could I say “Then we’ll have lunch and you can tell me all the news about you”?

Thanks once again.

I think the sentence looks a bit incorrect.

What about omitting " all the " ?
… tell me the things that happened to you."
… news from you."
… news of …
… News always takes singular form.
… The news is never very good nowadays.
… I have got some news for you.

It’s not an elegant change and it would be better to stick to the original.

Hi Bev, I find your answer very elegant, instead.

Thanks.
