Would you help me choose a new jacket for the interview?

Is it fine to say “Would you help me and choose a new jacket …” as well?

Both sentences make sense but have different meanings.

In this sentence -

you are asking for help in the choosing of the jacket.

In this sentence -

you are asking for help with something and also asking someone to choose a new jacket for you.
