Hi Torsten and everyone,

It is definitely Mandarin. However, my example, I were born in south of Taiwan. My family speak Taiwanese whose writing is the same as Mandarin but speaking is totally different from Mandarin. Considering about ‘Thai’, probably not. I think few people speak Thai in Taiwan although I have met a restaurant boss who can speak Thai and he actually were born in Thailand, also he is a Thai-Taiwanese actually. That’s my personal experienece. I love to share with all the people on this forum. By the way, I’m from Taiwan. I’m so happy to see that someone else wants to discuss about my country(a controversial issue indeed. :slight_smile: ) where I’m from.

I wonder why did you make a poll? Just to check how many people are wrong? :slight_smile: As for me, polls are more suitable for controversial questions not for the ones which have an exact answer.
