which is which?.. knew vs. know

“even though i know that im not gonna win this :P” or "even though i knew that im not gonna win this :stuck_out_tongue:

Even though I know I’m not going to (gonna, but I’ve seen English teachers have a problem with this when referring to proper English) win this…

“Knew” would be past tense in this case. Even though I knew I wasn’t going to win this… (rest of sentence)

Even though I know that I’m (I am) not going to win this… (present tense)
Even though I knew that I wasn’t (I was not) going to win this… (past tense)

‘Even though I know I wasn’t going to win this’ is incorrect. I presume a typo.

Ah yeah sorry, not completely awake yet. Thanks Beesnees. I’ll edit and correct it. I think I need coffee.

i do have a lot of problems in grammar…always confused…

Don’t feel bad about it, I’m a native speaker and it seems without coffee in the morning, I too make grammatical mistakes.

i need more practice  im afraid to fail…
