Hi,
Could you help explain any differences in these sentences:
- When it was raining, we arrived.
- It was raining when we arrived.
- We arrived when it was raining.
I am muddled by them.
Hi,
Could you help explain any differences in these sentences:
I am muddled by them.
They are very similar in meaning, but the first and third could be interpreted as “we chose to arrive when it was raining”. A bit odd, right?
Thanks for the help, Molly!
No problem.
