Jam - This is fruit that is boiled with sugar which becomes soft and sweet. You can put it on bread. You get different kinds of jams such as strawberry, apricot etc.

Jelly - This is soft, sweet and brightly coloured food made from sugar, gelatine and fruit flavours. It wobbles if moved. You can eat ice cream with jelly.

In addition, there is marmalade which is a fruit preserve made from the juice and peel of citrus fruits boiled with sugar and water.
