What does this idiom mean: 'to blow in'?

Happy new year!!!

Here is my first question for this year:

PARSONS:
Hey, buenos dias, cowboy. When d’you blow in?

What does the underlined phrase mean?

This means arrive unexpectedly.

Is it a colloquial phrase? Can I use it in an informal conversation without implying sarcasm? I mean, is that phrase safe for everyday use?

It is used in conversation but is quite harmless. You would use it in a familiar way to a friend or someone you knew well.
