Please help! How do we call in English the job of the person who prepares / plans the topics, materials … etc for a T.V. show or a program ?
OF course this is something different from the announcer’s job. Please assist.

Thanks my dear friend. However, I instinctively understand that the term “producer” refers to the person who covers the financial aspects of a show.
What I’m asking about is the job title of the person who merely and merely does the preparation of topics relevant to the subject that will be discussed in the show and who gathers as much information as possible about that subject so as to enrich the show discussion. ( not the financial aspects). I hope I succeeded to make my question clear.
