Wanted: Feedback on TOEIC Listening Exercises

Hi,

What should be the question if I wanted that the answer was the first? How MUCH LONG have you been with the firm, by any chance?

english-test.net/toeic/liste … _firm.html

Almost, but not quite a gold medal:

How long have you been with the firm?
Since 2007.

(‘How much long’ is never a correct combination)

I’m working hard for that gold medal. Then I’ll give it to you.

Francesco, il tuo inglese in modo molto meglio del mio italiano![YSaerTTEW443543]

It’s better than mine too, which means the gold will be mine in no time.

Hehe, maybe my English is better than your Italian, but the problem is that I’m studying English since I was a child!

… '‘I’ve been studying English since I was a child’ (You probably used the present tense thinking that you are still studying it, but ‘have been’ can indicate that you are still doing so).

Bev, you’ll have to wait for a long time for your (mine) gold, I’m afraid…

Hi Bev,

I thought that both were possible.

Not once you add ‘since…’.

Francis,

I have been studying since.

Alright.

I guess that the third answer to the second question doesn’t make sense. Can you confirm that, please?

Yes, ‘brang’ does not exist as a grammatically correct word.

Hi,

Let’s take a look at this exercise please.

1). How long have you wanted to work for yourself?
Until five years
Ever since college – CORRECT
From 1999

If I wanted that the answer would be “From 1999”, what should the question be?

I forgot the link of the exercise:

english-test.net/toeic/liste … rself.html

‘From 1999’ as a stand-alone answer is not good. I can’t think of a really appropriate question.

How long did you work for yourself?
From 1999 until 2006
works okay.

Hi,

1). What is your new manager like?
He prefers beer.
She’s tough but fair. – CORRECT
She’s tall and slim.

About the question above, If I wanted that the correct answer would be the third “She’s tall and slim”, should the question be “What is your new manager LOOK like”? Can you confirm that?

Thanks in advance.

The answer to my question is that I should say “What DOES your new manager look like?”, isn’t it?
