wait / expect

  1. I wait for your positive answer.
  2. I wait for your reply to my query.
  3. I expect your positive answer.
  4. I expect your reply to my query.
  5. I expect to succeed.
  6. I expect him to succeed.
  7. I expect that he will succeed.
    Please correct the above.
    Thanks.

To me, the following would look better.

  1. I am waiting for your positive answer. (Present continuous is more suitable)
  2. I am waiting for your reply to my query.
  3. I expect your answer to be positive.
  4. I expect you to reply to my query.
  5. I expect to succeed.
  6. I expect him to succeed.
  7. I hope that he will succeed.
  1. I await your positive answer.
  2. I await your reply to my query.
  3. I expect your positive answer.
  4. I expect your reply to my query.
  5. I expect to succeed.
  6. I expect him to succeed.
  7. I expect that he will succeed.

Note that 3 and 4 may not go down well with the person you are addressing, because they indicate that there is no choice. These would be more polite:
3. I anticipate your positive answer.
4. I anticipate your reply to my query.
