Visual Thesaurus

Has anyone here tried the computer program called “Visual Thesaurus”? It creates wonderful clickable, printable word diagrams. My ESL students like it, and I also get a big kick out of using it.

You can try a demo at visualthesaurus.com.

Hi Jamie,

Many thanks for bringing this up. I’ve check into the program and it looks very impressive, probably one of the best language applications I’ve seen lately. How do you incorporate the program into your classroom activities? I take it you have subscribed to the Online Edition and share the features with your students? When did you start using the application?[YSaerTTEW443543]

I started using the application a few years ago, but I downloaded the desktop edition. I use it once in a while to create “synonym maps” for my students, but mainly I just introduce my students to it and let them do what they want with it. They generally enjoy it.
