Very:- is used before adjectives. Very is used before present participles.
Examples:- This book is very interesting.
This sight is very pleasing to the eyes.
I am very happy.
Much:- is use before adjective or adverb of comparative degree.
Examples:- I am much better now.
He feels much stronger nowadays.
My question is, why we say?
1- He is very tired. ( Very is used before present participle and adjective)
2- He is very pleased to know my result.
Why “very” is used here? are “tied” and “pleased” adjective or present participle?
Thank you.
