Using music to understand accents

hi guys

How many learners and teachers do this?

I have utilised the recordings, commonly used by my colleagues, of Susann Vega, notably;

But I have also used these recordings for general interest, with a story to lyrics;

The lesson was on narrative by the way.

Likewise I have used this guy to try to persuade learners that Scots can be easier to understand if you have an empathy with them/their accent;

This music a lot of learners like so alleviates the reaction of the difficulty associated with this accent.

How many people actively use music as a source for comprehension?

It can help with some learners which have a real interest in music, but also if you have a very long course (8 -13 weeks) with motivation issues.
