Could you explain the difference between “use” and “operate” for me please?
I’m trying to translate to Russian a phrase “objects are meant to be used, operated and managed by…”. Thank you.
One of the opinions is: “use” means utilize smth. E.g. use a pen to…, or use a knife to kill… you can also use an app to do smth. Operate stands for operating machines. In other words when you control a device.
I believe it should be translated as: “объекты предназначены для использования и управления…”
