Use of present continious: His passion for watching TV is becoming a problem...

Are the folllowing sentences correct ?

John has supported some projects. Now he is supporting a project, which …

His passion for watching TV is becoming a problem…

“- Where is John?”
“- He is helping Mary to pack things into a suitcase”

Thanks.

.
All are fine. But no comma after ‘project’.
.

But what about these two sentences?

Now he is getting Delhi.
We are beginning a great work.

And is there any difference between
“- He is helping Mary to pack things into a suitcase”
and
“- He is helping Mary pack things into a suitcase”

Thank you in advance.

.
Now he is getting to Delhi. – Odd but possible
We are beginning a great work.-- Fine

“- He is helping Mary to pack things into a suitcase”
“- He is helping Mary pack things into a suitcase”– No difference; ‘to’ is optional.
.

But is it correct to say

“- He is helping Mary packing things into a suitcase”
“- He is helping Mary in packing things into a suitcase”?

.
The first is wrong; the second is possible but awkward, and would be corrected by a decent teacher.
