use of 'before' in a particular sentence

Hi,

Could you tell me if the answer to the below question is correct? I’m mainly interested in the use of ‘before’ in it.

'Have you ever forgotten to turn off your mobile in a cinema?

  • No, I haven’t. I always turn it off before.

OR

  • No, I haven’t. I always turn it of before going there.

So, can I use ‘before’ on its own?

Thanks.
Bye
Liza

Yes, in such contexts, ‘before’ can be used alone. In the conversation, ‘going in’ is understood.
