Usage: We need to meet the time-lines

Does this sound natural:
“We need proper training to meet the time-lines”.

Thanks!

Here is my version: “We need proper training to meet the deadlines.”

Thanks Torsten, however I still have a question which is related to this.

When can we use meet + timelines ?

Example :
We have strict timelines, to meet them need to work hard.

You can use meet + timelines together like in your original sentence. However it sounds slightly odd since “Meet the deadline” is a much stronger collocation. “Stay on schedule” is also a stronger collocation.

Adhere to the timeline” is another option. Although “Meet the deadline*” and “Stay on schedule” are still the best options.

Also consider that timeline, deadline, and schedule are most often singular. All three can be plural, but that is much less common. For example your sentence:

“We have strict timelines, to meet them need to work hard.”

This is more likely to be a single timeline, with multiple dates. The word timeline and schedule are very similar. Maybe something like this:

“We have a strict timeline. To stay on schedule we’ll need to work hard.”
