University graduates no longer expect to get a job when leaving university and even if they do, end up working at a fast food restaurant until they can find a real job. What is your opinion of this situation?

Nowadays, with the world globalization most of the country around the world is going through a bad economy. Consequently, to meet their money budget companies are either hiring less people or cutting job positions.

Normally, in tough times big companies do prefer to hire professional with years of experience rather than newly graduates with no professional experience at all. Therefore, the job hunting for the new university graduated is becoming harder and more competitive among them.

As all new graduate in a certain field has pretty much the same knowledge background, whatever skills or work experience that one of them pursues, it could be definitive for being hired by a company.

It’s known by all companies that new university graduates have quite little professional experience. Therefore, any kind of job experience even a survivor job or a summer job, for example: in a fast food restaurant could be useful to add up as a work and life experience in their curriculum.

Most of the time, the criterion used by a company to hire someone it is not based on what kind of job itself people have done, but what people have learned by doing that kind of work and what it can bring in and add up in to the company.
For example: It is assumed that people who have worked in a fast food restaurant, have experience in dealing with costumers in all kind of situations ,should be able to work in group and should have good communication skills. Therefore, these kind of skills and in additional with people academic background could be an important tool for company to hire new people.

Nowadays, with the world globalization, big companies usually have business and do trading with all around the world. Therefore, for people who are able to speak more than one language could be an advantage to get hired by a company.

To sum up, due to the recently down economy in all around the world, university graduates should not be ashamed to work in either a fast food restaurant or any kind of survivor job while they are searching for a real job in their field. Because, any kind of job
is important as a life experience and whatever they have learned from it could be useful in their professional life.
