Treated humane?

Hi, this is what I have just heard on CNN:

“… to make sure the detainees are treated humane.”

Shouldn’t it be

“… to make sure the detainees are treated humanely”?

I agree with you. It would need a great stretch of imagination to accept the adjective form here.
