Trap versus catch

Hello!. How is it going?

Thanks in advance!

Which one should I use in the following sentence?

The rabbit was trapped/caught in the jail.

Is there any difference between both
verbs? Are they really synonymous?

Thanks a lot!

The rabbit was trapped/caught in the jail.

Either verb can be used with the same meaning in your sentence, Jes?s. Now, catch also means to grab hold of something (which is moving). So, if you talk about fish or a ball, for example, you would normally say catch.

Jail sounds awkward in this context, though. I think you meant cage.
