Your second set of 3 sentences is OK. Here are my suggestions for the first 3 sentences:

  1. You’re far more practical than I am. (Nowhere)

    [color=blue]Don’t bother/You needn’t bother to telephone me when you arrive.

    This is my answer: Everybody is going to be given higher salary [color=blue]Not bad, but I think this would be more natural:
    Everybody is going to be given a raise.
