Dear Torsten,

Thanks for your warmly welcome. I will go through it and will definitely get back to you. I have already bought two textbooks: The Compelte Guide to the TOEFL Test (iBT Edition) by Bruce Rogers with CD Rom and Barron’s TOEFL iBT Internet-Based Test 2008 (12th Edition). What textbooks need to be added?
Your guidance will be grately appreciated.

Hi Rochille,

Very glad to know you. Would you mind introducing yourself?

Kay

Hi Kay,

Dimitar from Bulgaria here.

I will be sitting for the TOEFL iBT in the upcoming months, too. I really doubt I will be able to cope with that challenge, though I will try. The writing and speaking parts are, as for most people, the hardest for me, with the speaking part frightening me the most, of course. I am graduating this year, and I really want to leave this God forsaken country, and study abroad. However, monstrous efforts will have to be put into this feat. My experience so far shows that self-confidence and results achieved are proportional.

I’d like to hear your thoughts on the issue.

Talk to you soon,
Dimitar

My name is Mihaela! I would like to try practicing some speaking section with students who are ready to go for taking Toefl iBT. I plan to take again this exam next month. I’ve taken three times and I’m pretty close to achieve my target - over 100! My scores was 95/95/93. So, please let me know if someone is interested in!

Thank you!

Mihaela

hey. I just took the TOEFL IBT . There is nothing for you to worry. just relax. Strangely enough it doesn’t measure one’s superior command of English, but one’s concentration and reaction skills… of course you should have a decent level of English, but believe me this is not the most important

Hi Kay
Iam also will take toefl exam but after 9 day so it was very helpfull to practice our language together
my kind regards

hi kay, i will take toefl ibt exam on december 8. i am preparing for one month and we have still one month to study but for today i don’t feel myself ready. speaking is my trouble. and i wonder if i improve it in a month. last year i took toefl ibt without studying. and i got 67. it is very low but i got approximately 20 points from listening, speaking and writing. and i got only 10 from reading. this means that reading can be difficult although it seems to be the easiest part of the exam. pay attention to your reading studies…see you later

Hi everyone,
my test is in two days, in fact this Saturday, so cross your fingers for me!

SkiIucK, I come from Bulgaria too. I am currently out of the country but my advise for you is be careful with your choice when you pick up your new place.

Good luck to all.

Regards

Hi,
my test was today. I am not very satisfied with what I did. I could have done more. The worst part was the Reading. The texts were extremely long and I was not familiar with the topics. The last questions of the reading texts - I just drag them randomly, I had no time.
The Listening was easy, as well as the writing - both integrated and independent. The Speaking was tricky one, too. There was lot of information and on one of the questions I couldn’t summarize properly and I confused. Otherwise, it was OK.
Good luck everyone.
I am not sure, but may be I will try one more time in November or early December.

please post Ur score here so that we could better realize our chances too

p.s Registered for the test on November 22
