Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Which point of view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.
In my opinion, going to school should be optional for students. I think so because many students prefer learning from home due to many difficulties regarding communication and other responsibilities. If going to school is kept mandatory, it may become very difficult for these students. Also students can judge by themselves about what would be convenient for them. The students should be given the right to choose what they prefer.
The first reason to support my opinion is that many students are parents. They also have to look after their children. Moreover, these students just cannot give up learning for the sake of family matters. If they wish to learn while they are looking after their family, learning from home would make them much easier and convenient. Many students are not comfortable leaving their child with other family member or to the daycare. So for such students attending classes is not always possible.
Also, many students live far from the university in which they learn. Many students also have problem regarding daily communication. Not all students own a car or have easy access to a train or bus. Learning from home and appearing exams online from home becomes much easier to these students. They will not have to worry about the communication. In addition, many students also work while they are studying. So concentrating on both work and study at a time becomes difficult for them.
And so, I would like to conclude saying that students should not be forced to attend the classes of the universities. Instead, they should be given a right to choose their own way. That’s why universities should help students to learn in the way they are comfortable. Learning may become easy for many students if they are provided with these facilities.
