Films can tell us a lot about the country where they were made. What you learned about a country from watching its movies?
Films is a kind of art that are very popular among people presently. The componet of most movies are scripts, scenery, costume and more details. Not only movies entertain audiences, but also make them learn more the country where they made. In this essay, I will mention some aspects that we can learn from different foreign movies.
Firstly, We can explore different cultures from foreign movies. For instance, the Thai action movie,Tom Yam Kung, showed the actor using Thai kick boxing to fight its enemies. Whereas Rambo, a Hollywood movie, showed the actor using guns and other gadgets to kill its opponents.
Secondly, we can learn the history of the country by watching its movies. For example, Suriyothai, a Thai movie, presented the national war in the past 500 years between Thailand and Burma. After watching this movie, we will know why Thai have to give up to Burma and also the sacrify of the Thai queen at that time.
Finally, we will realize the different ways people thought from movies. A horrified movie, The eyes, is a good example. At first this movie was made in Taiwan. It is about a woman who can see death people all the times.There were no reason behind an actress’ behaviors but from ghost. Five years later, the movie was remade by a hollywood producer. The script was not change but the reasons of actress’ behaviors and some details were included in the film.
In conclusion, I strongly support that films can tell us a lot of the country where they were made. We can learn various culture, history and the way people thought from the different differnt origins of films.
