- People do many different things to stay healthy. What do you do for good health? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Since time immemorial, people have been trying to do different things in order to stay healthy. Ancient cultures like Sumerians or Greeks used to study the medicine and practice sports, and Romans were famous for enjoying in water in their baths and spas. Keeping in this train of thought, I would say that I am trying to keep my body healthy using all good experiences of our ancestry.
First of all, I exercise a lot. This means that every morning I go to the gym or swimming pool in my building. At the gym I like to use treadmill and steppers, because they keep my stamina and endurance in a good condition. Furthermore, it helps me whenever I play basketball with my friends on weekends because I am always fresh and fit. On the other hand, probably one of the greatest advantages swimming provides is relief from stress and tension. All of this has helped me throughout my life in numerous occasions. For example, I have never experienced sport injury in my life, and I believe that a lot of exercise was the crucial factor in that.
Secondly, in order to keep my body healthy, I drink a lot of water. It is believed that water can clean the organism. Furthermore, scientists argue that water helps our brain, and for me health means that I have to take care not only about my body but also about my brain. For example, for this reason, I drink a lot of water and enjoy in solving different puzzles. This keeps my brain healthy and my tongue witty and sharp.
Finally, whenever I can I visit a doctor, because prevention is of the utmost importance if we want to stay healthy and prevent further complications. I believe that what we do, in order to stay healthy, sometimes is not enough. Of course that organic food is important, and that exercise can help us, but even then our health can be affected from to us unknown reasons. For instance, couple of years ago, my friend who lives healthy life during one visit to his doctor found out that he had a skin cancer from overexposure to the Sun. Today, after surgery, he feels well but without visiting the doctor this could get more complicated.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that we have a lot of good possibilities at our disposal in order to stay healthy. We can eat healthy food, we can relax or exercise, and, above all, we can visit our doctors, from time to time, just to check our condition. I am trying to use them all and it helps to both; my body and my soul.
