To learn a new language is to learn a new way of thinking

Do you think learning English changed the way you think?

I recently came across an interesting article. Hope you would like it

How does our language shape the way we think?

An excerpt:
“Linguistic processes are pervasive in most fundamental domains of thought,
unconsciously shaping us from the nuts and bolts of cognition and perception
to our loftiest abstract notions and major life decisions. Language is central to
our experience of being human, and the languages we speak profoundly shape
the way we think, the way we see the world, the way we live our lives.”

This is an interesting topic, Gray.

I know very little about it. But I know about Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, which is about how learning a language affect the way we think about the world.

Yes, very interesting it is to realize that there cannot be anything so close to us than the words…so close that oftentimes we just cannot distinguish words from the feelings.

Hello Gray,

Here is an interesting lecture: Language and Thought.
