If you want to increase your vocabulary and pronounciation .
All you have to do is learn a new word every day.
make a practice of this and you will get good score in english or toefl.
Choose a new word and use that word in every sentence as possible for a whole day.
(hint:if u choose a word make sure u know the meaning, grammar and pronounciation)
In the weekend use those words which you learnt in weekdays and use all those words on those weekends.
In this way you will not have problem with the difficult words.

If you find it good please reply.

wow… really good idea… i am going to to start this from today only.

thank u

To practise your Speaking skills.
Read newspaper everyday and learn difficult words .
See english news and movies to understand and pronounce the words well.
Get a software which converts speech to text software.where u can speak and read the speech later for your corrections.
If you are new to english please learn grammar first that will help you a lot.

The another way to increase your verbal speed…
This method will lead to learn new words.just allow 3 mins for this method

All you have to do is
In no more than 3 minutes.Write down as many different words as you can think of that start with the letter (a,b,c…x,y,z).(any letter per day).
This will even make u to learn new words .
after finishing with the words u can check the score for improvement…

up to 30 words:below average
31-50 words:average
51-70 words:above averge

Hi Sham,

Could you please tell me where you have those “ebooks” from? I think the best method to prepare for the TOEFL is to improve your English. This requires you to change your habits. For more information you might want to read How to score high marks on the TOEFL.

Let me know what you think.

I had no idea that those ebooks were illegal.I am sorry for that. I read “how to score high marks on the toefl”.It helped me.thanks…
Coming to my post:is any of my post illegal or wrong by some way. Please let me know.Thank you.

Hi Sham,

As far as I can see there is nothing illegal about your posts themselves. However, you probably know yourself that scanning books and publishing them on the Internet is a violation of international copyright. If somebody really like a book or any other piece of intellectual property they should simply a copy of it. What do you think about this issue?[YSaerTTEW443543]

I had no idea that those books were illegal and in that wesite it has not mentioned anything like that(because i am new to internet) why i didnt know that ebooks are illegal.i am sorry for that. I usually go with physical books. Thanks for informing,i am happy that i came to know about that
thank you

Sham, ebooks are not illegal. The files you had posted where scanned copies of physical books. Somebody took the physical book, scanned and converted it into a PDF file and uploaded that file onto a server. It’s similar to publishing copy righted MP3 files for free download.[YSaerTTEW443543]

oh ok…Thank you Torsten for the information.

This is a very good idea, and if you’re looking for a better way to do it (you know, personally, I’d forget to go take the dictionary and pick up a word every day) rather than leafing through a dictionary there is this very good website, Dictionary.com, which has a sort of ‘newsletter’ called ‘Word Of The Day’. if you submit your email to this newsletter, they’ll email you a different word every day, along with its pronunciation, meaning, etymology and everything you need to know about that word.

This website also have a branch called ‘Thesaurus.com’. I started to go look some thesaurus up (synonyms of words) often, especially for words we use everyday. We don’t wanna repeat always the same word in an essay, so variety of vocabulary is a good thing to achieve at least for basic, easy words we use regularly.

my 2 cents, hope it’ll be of some help!

I used to get lazy picking up the dictionary and would have to choose the word which i have never choosed. It was really helpful thank you. OrienteLux
