Reported speech & my notice :
Well come to every once , well come to whole friends .
Again I want to suggest a new version into reported speech .
Please read my comments carefully specially about the tense in fronted ( begin ) by modal verb like can or may how we reported it.??
Usual examples :
1- “get out of the car” the policeman said.
reported : the policeman warned (us , him ,her , me , them ) to get out of the car .
2- “ be quiet” she said to me.
Reported : she asked me to be quiet . finished the sentences are correct , and no rather additional explaining was needed.
Now inspect these sentence carefully:
1- “could you please be quiet” she asked……request, demand
Reported : she asked me to be quiet …… correct but, I can say :
She asked me if I could be quiet .
Interpretation : the asker wanted to ask if I could be silent at the moment , so at the moment I repeated his speech , but weather I could or couldn’t , at the moment I am speaking with another person , may be I couldn’t stop the talk.
e.g. 2 / “ sugar please”.
Reported : he asked me or others for sugar…… correct but, I can say :
He asked me if I could supply him with sugar …and may be I could or couldn’t
2- “may I have glass of water” he said.
Reported : he asked me or others for a glass of water……correct but , I can repeat his speech as : he asked me for a glass of water if I could ,why not ? and it would be better to answer by this manner because, I respect the speaker requirement, also the speaker respect me and asked weather is it possible for me or not?
Reported speech and the if clause :
I know all English teachers reported the only( yes, no) questions by using the if / weather and didn’t accept me the way, and they said that’s the rule , yes I didn’t hear any one used ( would ) after if directly only in two cases (1- when the situation or action depicted in the if clause is a result of main clause. 2- in polite request ) .
1-he will pay me 10 dollars, if I will help him…… ( 1)
Reported : he said that he will pay me 10 dollars , if I would help him.
2- it would be nice, if you would help me in my work. …. ( 2)
Reported : he said that it would be nice, if I would help him in his work. …. I can say; he said that it will be nice , if I would help him……changing one shift.
If I had the money , I would buy a new car ……conditional 2
If I would have the money , I will buy a new car. ……I expect here it is wrong weather the second clause is resulting of the main clause ( I will buy a new car ).
Please write your comment about these details, if you had. Here I offered the conditional species , but my subject is the reported speech and I advocated and adopted my previous plan in using ‘if I could’ in the reported speech .

Object 2 : the idioms slang or didn’t be a slang .
What I mean by : I was touched ? when I was listening to such attractive subject or sensitive event while is it sadness or happiness, yes I am effected on my heart or on my sense to what I am heard of, but I cant say I am affected , so there were difference between affect and effect .
Affect means; the first person or object provoked his sense or emotion toward the second ,and effect at the opposite .( vice verse ).
3- what I mean by over the whole? I great this idiom from my mind and I didn’t hear it from any reference else.
I mean by that some thing over the imaginations or desire or wishes like we say in Arabic about the military must be excepted from the rules or thoughts of the governmental policy.( clear of any parities or believe ness ).
4- I didn’t hear till now any one said talker , while it is correct and my computer write it now with no red mark . Also about many adjectives or nouns or adverbs there isn’t clear rule to derived them and most of them irregular and have the exception in the rules, as we know the rule to change for adverb by adding ( ly, y) to the end , and the noun by adding suffix like ( tion, ness , ment, etc… ) and so on, otherwise some words comes as verbs and nouns ,and the method to deferent between them is by the stress and the un stress syllables.
Some times I didn’t find in my dictionary any typical form to what I want , so I chose the easier one to the mind and tongue, that’s the English I learned my self , and more than tenth of vocabularies or words jumps to my mind when I sleep.
Extract :
I find the English language was easier than the Arabic , because the native of Arabic if they do any mistake , the mistake will be more apparent and brought the funny , the Arabic language hasn’t the musicality of the English , furthermore I find the American language more closer to me , because the British make the grammar more narrower , while the American expand it ,e.g. the verb put ; its past form ‘put’ in British , while the American can also say putted. Yes we have to search about the purity , but in those days the colloquial is overlapped.
Sorry if I prolonged my search , but to increase the concept of different culture and to make ideal conversation through the forum, thank you for your patient with me, but I want to evaluate what I am writing and weather you understand my language or not?.
Oh , I forget to say I am just now reading your beautiful idiom ( weather the storm) as the British said it to mange the financial bad condition., and I guess it is well inserting into my mind by the Arabic concept.
At the last I want to say in the most of times I had to trying putting or converting my personal thought as Arabic culture to the other culture ,however, every culture have the personality, and as you know the Arabic culture was fulfilled by new and accent idioms, i.e. for that ( blackmail) , and I have to say black world.
Demand :please open literature window , I see the literature is the father of any language. I want to hear the latest production of poets, plays and novels…etc… and by the way I wrote some verses in the yahoo page answer latest days.
Here I am said the word demand as a noun , because I didn’t find exacting synonym other than hope and wishes ,but ‘hope’ is not the correctly alternative meaning so it is difficult here for the usual English native .For this reason I find my self was obliged to derive a new word to solve the problem , because of that I fall in more difficulties with my teachers who only read what is in the text- scholars- books and didn’t effort themselves to know the new vocabularies. English readers must be fellow the others writing and communicate the world . Many things are in my bags but, let us stopping here to the next lecture.
However, I know that is my style somehow is complicated , but read it carefully, and you will be accepted me the rule. I hope the forum will not ignore my request.

Examples of yes , no questions and command sentences :
‘Are you a teacher’ ? he asked
reported : he asked me weather/if I am a teacher or not ( I add or not for more explaining) and no problem if you didn’t add it…
‘have you a car’ he asked
reported : he asked him weather/ if he had a car or not.
‘do you play football’ he asked
reported : he asked me weather / if I played football.
‘will you get up early’ he asked …
reported : he asked me weather I got up early or not . and it is better to say he asked me if I could get up early. Because of the possibility and the got is not usual used.
‘ could you have to get up early’
reported :he asked me weather I had to get up early. or : if I could have to get up early . or: weather/if could get up early…… which one is more actable?
‘didn’t you say it’? he said …as a question but it is exclamation.
reported: he asked me weather I said it . I know most of English native confused in this sentence as a command sentence.
‘put the television on’
he told me to put the television on. ….command & request
‘don’t disturb’
he told me not to disturb.
‘stop snoring’ please …
reported :1-he wanted me not to snoring . here in this sentence I consider it cab be answered by different way as a question sentence :
2-he asked me if I could stop snoring . …for this reason I want to put a new version into grammar , however, the possibility of the sentence and the flexible move directions.
‘ don’t be worry’ . he asked
