The president /President of America is Mr Trump

The president of America is Mr Trump.

Which is the correct sentence?

Thanks.

President is only capitalized when used as a title, like “President Trump” or as a dirrect address “Mr. President”, or of course when it is the first word of a sentence!

The other issue with your sentences is that millions of North Americans, Central Americans, and South Americans do not consider Mr. Trump their president, even though they too live in “America”. So it is better to refer to Mr. Trump as president of the United States, or the US, or the United States of America, or USA.

I hope this sentence will soon describe a period that’s in the past.
