That’s what happens to the water when it freezes

1- What does “when it freezes” mean?

  • Does it mean “when it gets very cold”?

2 - What does “freeze” exactly mean in this sentence?

  • Does it mean “chill/be very cold” or does it mean “verb: ice”?

Thank you

Freezing means to change from liquid to solid. It’s the opposite of melting, which is changing from solid to liquid. When water cools down to 0 degrees it freezes.
