Tenet instead of tenant

Hi, I think in the following sentence ‘tenant’ should be replaced with ‘tenet’. Would you agree?

While keyword use still matters, prescriptive methods like using an in specific locations a requisite number of times is no longer a tenant of on-page SEO.

Rather a waffly sentence as a whole, but I agree that ‘tenet’ is the word you want.
