To talk back to somebody in power (be it your boss or partents) is to object to what they’re telling you/to challenge their authority.
You can talk back to your parents/boss, and it’s considered rude.
Do you mean ‘don’t talk back to me’?
This means ‘don’t answer back’/‘don’t argue with what I’m telling you.’
