[color=blue]Assuming that “the back” might refer to the back of a car, I would understand the following difference:
“in” = inside the car
“at” = outside the car.

In 2 and 5, the pairs are correct and have more or less the same meaning. In 9, only the first one, which starts with “to” is correct.
