Stretched to the limits

Dear All,

I would be thankful if you could let me know which of the followings are correct and why.

  1. You’ll really be stretched to your limits.
  2. You’ll be really stretched to your limits.

Thanks
Swan

I’d say both are possible but only the focus of ‘really’ shifts. While 1) is more grammatical as regards inserting the adverb ‘really’, 2) is more emphatic of the word ‘stretched’ with ‘really’ being placed just before it.

Thank you so much Anglophile.
Could you kindly tell me what this sentence mean?

Thanks,
Swan

I think it can mean: Your faculty/energy/potential will be pulled/extended/utilized to the fullest extent or to the maximum level.
