Sorry to have done something...

Hi,

For instance, I doubted a person, and now I’m repenting that. Can I say these as a way of apologizing to the person in question for my distrust?

  1. Sorry to have doubted you.
  2. Sorry not to have trusted you.

Ya I guess these are appropriate apologizes but too short and might sting a person rather than forgive. I think “I am sorry, I just have hard time trusting people” or “I am sorry I misjudged you or doubted you. Hope you forgive me” would sound better.
