The end of the film was so moving. why in this sentence we have to use " moving why not moved" please help me to explain.

The verb ‘move’ is to go from one place to another as in - We moved to a seat nearer the front so that we could get a better view. ‘Moving’ is an adjective describing something that has a deep effect on your emotions. The audience listen to the moving story of how a fireman rescued a child from a house fire but lost his life while he was doing it.
