Sociability -- well, hello!

Hi,

How sociable are you? Do you find it difficult to ‘make’ conversation with a total strangeronce you have been introduced?

Hi, Alan.
I listened audio file "Greeting expression or “Well, hello!” just now. Perfect speach, interesting topic, but as for me it’s very fast like a stream of sounds on one breash even without taking a breath during the speach. I can understood only some separates words.
Reading this text is more simple, so I read it and can answer your question “How sociable are you?”. I am sociable and more over talkative woman, so it’s easy for me to make conversation with a total stranger.
Thank you. Best regards.
Svitlana.

hi there
I listened to the audio and deceded that i have to improve my speaking up to hers. as above said she didnt even take a breath and had no emotions in her speech. so I think it makes her speech less exciting. but the context is awesome! thank you for the audio. i have a lot from it.
best regards,

Hello Alen,
Good Morning, I listened an audio file " Well, Hello " just now. It’s really good & interesting topic, but ur speech is very fast & non-stopping. Plz follow punctuation marks & take a breath during the speech so I can ollow u. I can’t follow u as I have to do both functions read & hear together. But it’s okay I’ll hear this topic again & again & at last I’ll be able to understand ur speach. I’m sociable & taking part in discussion only when the topic is of my interest otherwise I’m a good listener.
Thank you & best regards.

Greeetings,
One of my colleagues is using “Greetings” as the first word in his e-mail. Is this an old style expression, or an extreme? We are in US.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi,

I rather like the idea of opening an email with the word ‘Greetings’. It’s certainly more interesting than the rather pathetic ‘Hi’ that I and millions of others use. I suppose it could be described as ‘old style’ but on the other hand, why not?

Good Morning, Sir?

it was wonderful…!

Good morning.

Can we really use ‘Well, hello!’ when we write someone? If yes, what purpose does the word ‘Well’ serve here? Is it a kind of transition?

Cheerio!

Hi I really appreciate that listening something when you met someone or leave some place you don’t know how to terminate your conversation so my question is it is correct to say talk to you later or se ya when you meet someone at the first time
thanks lot

Hi dear Sir. I used to be shy, but for a long time ago I found myself loosing great opportuniy in being shy. so it is a matter of decision. sometimes other people say you a boring person, but everytime I mee someone shy, I go slow. get his or her confidence on me and start talking, and you will see that the other person is very talkive. so give a chance because all of us is a sociabiliy person.

Hello,

Great audio! I like the speed of speech that is used. It’s very much the same as in TOEFL listening part. I found out a lot of new words that I enjoy about. Thank you.
