The victim and her eight-year-old brother were playing at a playground in Toa Payoh on Oct 19, 2020, when Loh spotted them. He then used his mobile phone to snap their picture.

Is “snapped their picture” correct?

He then used his phone to snap their picture.
Then he used his phone to snap their picture. ( Preferred )

or

He then snapped their picture with his phone.
Then he snapped their picture with his phone. ( Preferred )

Any of the above are OK, but the last one has the best flow.
