  1. He went straight from 3rd to 5th grade.
  2. He skipped a grade from 3rd to 5th grade.
  3. He got double promotion from 3rd to 5th grade.
    Are these sentences Correct?
    Do they mean the same?
    Is there any better way to communicate this idea?

  2. Acceptable, though I prefer #1.
  3. “double promotion” doesn’t really seem like the correct term here.
