sit in seclusion

Hi teachers,

Are my sentences correct?
He’ll sit in seclusion.
He’ll observe

I do not think it is appropriate to say that someone observes seclusion.
It is possible to say
He’ll observe a period of seclusion.

To observe seclusion would indicate that you were somehoe watching a form of seclusion.

Thank you, BN.

Can I also use “sit in”?

It is possible to use ‘sit in’ - it simply means that he is sitting by himself though, and given that you originally linked this phrase to Ramadan I’m not certain that that’s what you wish to say.

OK. He’ll sit in a period of seclusion.

That sounds really odd, sorry.

He’ll spend some time in seclusion
would be my suggestion.
