Simple Present Questions (Unit 8)

Sorry, Sonja,

You still haven’t got it. The first four all require ‘to’:
to listen to music
to run
to cook
to eat dinner

Do you play football every week?
Do i look pretty?
Does she like cook?
Do they play tennis every day?
Does he go to campus every day?

Do I look pretty?
Does she like to cook?
Does he go to the campus every day?

Hello,

Do you celebrate May 1st in England? I was in a relatively large park in my hometown yesterday. The weather was really good. The day was clearly, the sun was shining. There were few amateur bands. There were a lot of people, every kind. Thanks for spring, most women were really pretty. You could eat whatever you want to. Also you could drink alcohol. Especially beer.

So did you have to work today? Okay, I know today isn’t May 1st but in this case there is only one day between weekend and May 1st. (I think you could get as a holiday.)
My questions are: Do you celebrate May 1st at all? What about today? Did you spend this day with your family or you were at workplace?

Have a nice evening. (Correct my mistakes, please.)

Hi Torsten.
Thank you so much for your lessons. I did a few tests, most of them 8o % correct.
Do I learn English every day?
Do you work ?
Does she go to school ?
Does he speak French ?
Does it sleep ?
Do you like to do shopping?

Do you love me?
Do you study everyday?
Does your mother cooks delicious food?
Do you often go to the garden?
Do you work well?

Do you study every day?
Every day (a two word expression) means daily/each day.
Everyday (a one word expression) actually just means ordinary or commonplace.

Does your mother cook delicious food? (The main verb here is ‘to do’ (she does) not ‘to cook’ (she cooks))

Do you like ice cream?
What does she do in her free time?
Where do they live?
When do you usually get up?
Which is your coat:the black one or the brown one?
Why does she go to the church every day?
Who are they?
Whose bag is this?
How do you live your life?
How can I get to the post office?
How can I help you?
What is your favourite book?
Does she have a plan today?
Which car is yours?
When does the school start at?

Well done, only a couple of things need querying there:

This is correct:
Why does she go to the church every day?
as long as you mean why does she visit the building.
If you are asking why she attends a service, then the article is not used (‘church’ is treated like a proper noun):
Why does she go to church every day?

‘Post Office’ should be capitalised.

When does school start? (no ‘at’)
Alternatively you could say:
At what time does school start?

Hi Sunny or somebody teacher else. Here are my questions in the present simple: does she play tennis today?
Does he eat meat everyday?
Do you drive well?

Don’t forget that ‘every day’ (a two word expression) means daily/each day.
‘Everyday’ (a one word expression) actually just means ordinary or commonplace.

Does he eat meat every day?

I try to make some questions,

Do you remember me?
Does it Broken?
Do i want to write?
Does she make the lunch?
Does he hit you?
Do they laugh sarcastically?

Please correct me if their are wrong.[/b]

Is it broken?
Do I want to write?

Thank you Dear !

And can you explain me the sentence “is it broken?”
Why should i put ‘is’ not ‘does’ ?

If the question is in the present simple and involves a verb other than “to be,” it starts with “Do” or “Does.” Use “Does” if the subject is third-person singular (he, she, it, John, Sally, the cat, etc) Use “Do” everywhere else.

Please, correct my mistakes.

I have a headache. My neck and my eyes hurt but even so I’m surfing the Net. It’s a bad combination.

‘I like the way you watch with your eyes’ does not make sense. What else would you watch with?

Don’t you go to the theatre on Saturdays? (habitual)
Aren’t you going to the theatre on Saturday?

I mean habit. Can I lose ‘s’ the end of the Saturday? (Of course in this case.)
