Simple Present Questions (Unit 8)

  1. Do you know my favourite TV series?
  2. Do you drive to work every day?
  3. Do you give each other presents on Christmas?
  1. would be ‘at Christmas’. Your use of the question form is good.

hi,
do you play tennis
does he take a brake
do they are in the pool

thanks

You need to punctuate all your questions:

Do you play tennis?
Does he take a break?
Are they in the pool?

do you speak France ?
do you drive a car?
do you play piano?

Do you speak French?
Do you drive a car?
Do you play the piano?

Please note that each sentence begins with a capital letter.

Hi.
Here are some simple questions.

Do you like chocolate cake?
Do I make a mistake in this sentence?
Do they love their grandparents?
Does she often visit her grandma?
Doesn’t he work today?
Do we go to the local plaza?
Do you eat all the food on your plate?
Do these people striking?
Does she like singing in front of spectators?

Have I made a mistake in this sentence? - past
Am I making a mistake in this sentence? - present
(‘Do’ is not the most natural verb choice)

Isn’t he working today?
(Again, ‘do’ is not the best verb.)

Are we going to the local plaza?
Are you eating all the food on your plate?
Are these people striking?

(‘to be’ rather than ‘to do’)

Thank you. You’re absolutely right. Shame on me.

Here are some new sentences:

Does she like flowers?
Does your mother like cooking?
Does friend of yours smoke cigarettes every day?
Do you have a cup of coffee at the morning?

Just a couple of minor points there:

‘friend’ needs an article or similar:
Does that friend of yours…

‘In the morning’, not ‘at the morning’.

(and there’s no shame in making mistakes. Mistakes are great teachers.)

HI,

That’s all right if you mean: Do you (usually/often) eat all the food on your plate?

Akan

Yes, I mean usually. You’ve got the point.
(Could you take a look at ‘Question words / Open questions (Unit 10)’ topic?)

Hi, I made a few questions. These are

  1. Do you like to eat ice cream?
  2. Do you go for a morning walk?
  3. Does he go to the park daily ?
  4. Does she watch movies?
  5. Does this mean I should not go there?

‘Do you go for a morning walk?’ - if you’re asking if it’s usual.
‘Are you going for a morning walk?’ - if you’re asking whether they are doing so on a particular morning.

hi teacher,
I have a lot of questions for you but now only a few :))

do you listen music
does he love run
does she like cook
do we go eat dinner
do they visit each other

regards!
Sonja

Hi Sonja,

Please begin every sentence (including questions) with a capital letter. All question sentences should end with a question mark.

is now better

Do you listen music ?
Does he love run ?
Does she like cook ?
Do we go eat dinner ?
Do they visit each other ?

regards!
Sonja

Do you listen to music?
Does he love running? Does he love to run?
Does she like cooking? / Does she like to cook?
Are we going to eat dinner?
Do they visit each other?

Notice that the question mark does not have a space before it. The spaces generally come after the punctuation.

Hi,

Please verify my posts.

Does she look gocious?
Does it smell good?
Do I look cool?
Do we go to the beach today?
Do they frightened you?
Does he hate his father?

Do they frighten you? (not ‘frightened’).
You have a spelling error in the first sentence. I think perhaps you mean ‘gorgeous’.
