Shouldn't it be "had, and" would" instead?

I prayed that my father who has yet to receive baptism will be baptised soon.

Shouldn’t it be “had” and “would” instead?

Since the given sentence begins with a verb in the past tense (I prayed), the subsequent verbs should also be in conformity with that verb in terms of tense.
Accordingly these two versions are possible. (Like the practice followed in reporting speeches)

  1. I pray that my father who has yet to receive baptism will be baptised soon.
  2. I prayed that my father who had yet to receive baptism would be baptised soon.
