Should we pay attention to the opinions of famous people?

We can always see famous people state their opinions on TV or in the newspaper whatever they are experts in this topic or not. However, my views if we should pay attention to opinions will be discussed as follows.

Firstly, if they have been in their fields for a long time and are good at, we may listen to their statements, then, evaluate what part of ideas we do need, and at final, abide by what are beneficial to us. In my opinion, they have been devoted to what they are interested after all, and thus, there must have some evidences or theories to support their standpoints. For example, in my country, a celebrated doctor brought to light information which many green tea advertised to make body fat increase are useless, for these kinds of tea do not contain any ingredient to help body reduce the cholesterol. At that time, most people start to doubt if those green tea really have so-called function, which make some of fake ones out of the marketplace.

On the contrary, some of popular people are nothing but laymen, and even make use of their reputation to distort the facts. These sorts of people are hypocrites, and we absolutely do not have to listen to. Take my country for example again. Some of famous political critics always express their opinions to judge any politician’s action right or wrong. However, we can discover a fact that they always criticize one party but never have comments to the other one. It shows they do not have professionalism at all. In addition, we can sometimes see them on non-political TV programs, like on TV shopping channels and entertainment programs. It is an eccentric phenomenon because if they are really professional political critics, why they appear on far-specialized programs. Therefore, it is worthless for us to listen to their any word.

To sum up, we should ascertain those renowned people if they undoubtedly are professionals. If they are, we can take the good ideas to help us to solve problems or take much care in specific filed. Nevertheless, if they are not, we do not have to take their words seriously, and we can treat their words like a puff of wind passing the ear.
