Should it be "metal-frame" instead?

The room is bare, except for six metal-framed bunk beds. Clothes and the odd towel hang in front of the beds, providing some semblance of privacy.

Should it be “metal-frame” instead?

Thanks!

No, it shouldn’t since “metal-framed” is a compound adjective, modifying the noun “bunk beds”. However, metal bunk beds is also used and much simpler.
