Karate, like any weapon, isn’t some sport, or game, or toy (though any martial art can be turned into a sport, game, or toy)… it’s a weapon like any weapon. It is a martial art. Martial means war. War arts.

Technically, should it be “any other weapon” instead of “any weapon”?

The word other is understood and is not needed. It’s optional.
