She is prettier than any / any other girl

She is prettier than any girl.
She is prettier than any other girl.

Which is the correct sentence?

Thanks!

The correct pattern is ‘… than any other…’.

Let me add my two cents to what Torsten has rightly said.
You need to add the word ‘other’ which is more semantical than grammatical. In the absence of it, the ‘she’ being talked about will also get included as a girl (in the same group) in the comparison, which is illogical as you can discern.
